Medaka Box

This manga is by Nishio Ishin and illustrated by Akatsuki akira.
It revolves around this girl with extraordinary... talents.. She becomes the student counsel president of her high school. An unheard of feet not only because she won a 98% approval rating from the student body but also because shes only in the first year. Her being the perfectionist that she is, she decided that unless the other members were people she approved of, she was going to shoulder all the responsibilities of the counsel. Her first action as president was the Establishment of the suggestion box. Having promised that she was going to answer all request no matter how small or big, made sure the box was always full. In the chaos of all the requests, she drags along her childhood friend ,who is head over heels in love with her, along for the ride.

The requests themselves make for very funny situations between her and her childhood friend but I find the unraveling of their, very obvious, mutual love for each other just as interesting.

Its definitly one of those mangas that I'll be keeping track of.
A good read, good illustrations and the scan quality, translation and cleaning are good HERE...
(But that's an endorsement for the current scans. I can't really say what the future scans will turn out to be. )

Manga ambition

I actually attempted to make mangas once. I already wrote a lot of stories but my biggest problem was how to draw the art. I drew, occasionally, but never anything that I deemed usable for a manga. In my desperation I even resorted to searching online for drawing tips. I was lucky enough to find THIS site. I tried its tips and I made some very manga-like cartoons. But my procrastination and undeniable laziness caught up with me.

In the end I wasn't even able to illustrate one comic strip. I guess I'll stick to reading mangas for now while I look for an illustrator for my stories.

I wasn't a fan of basketball mangas before. Most of the ones I saw were badly drawn and the story pointlessly dragged on. This one is different.. :)
summary and where to read it HERE...

I liked who they drew the motions and who they set the games up. The story is also good because it didn't exaggerate the sport and make it have fictional moves.. I play a little basketball so I'm very critical sometimes when it comes to this things. Sure I'm supposed to completely resign myself in the fiction of certain stories but there is something about inhuman moves described in some basketball mangas that just don't sit well with me. But truthfully even if they did make out exaggerated moves, if the manga was well drawn and the story worth reading till the end, then I probably won't mind reading the uber fictional ones..

If your looking for a complicated love story in the midst of murder, conspiracy, deceit and countless assassination plots then this is the series for you... ;}
Found here..

Its centers around a male Japanese tourist who witnessed an assassination taking place. The assassin turned out to be a Japanese girl who looked no older than himself. In his shock he was captured and brainwashed. In his state of amnesia he was forced into becoming an assassin himself. From then on the story progresses through his training all the way to him going on actual missions. I have yet to continue watching because of time constraints but its definitely worth seeing till the end...

I was lucky enough to see this when it was freshly added to animeseason's anime list...
Its not that well drawn, sometimes during the episodes they have moments where the art is so beautiful and then there are times when its almost blocky.. very inconsistent.. they make up for it in the consistently cute male characters though... :} the story is so-so but one of the unique ones out there... its entertaining enough for a revisit..

I was frustrated when I couldn't find its manga counterpart in any of the sites I frequent... but you can get a brief summary here...

I read this at 2 am.. needless to say I was bored and couldn't sleep..
I enjoyed the story but at first glance i though it was going to be like every other shoujo manga out there with a cliche story and predictable outcome.. but after reading the latest 3 chapters i guess it might not be that typical..
writing style is witty and sarcastic. drawing style is good but not that unique..

all in all it was a good read and its another one of those mangas I'm going to add to my 'must read updates' manga list...

Summary(plus where i read it)...
I went on vacation a couple of weeks ago and was delighted to find out that this manga was updated..
:( sadly enough I don't have the time to read it yet..
I hope the story reaches a more climactic point soon!!!

I have a strange feeling that it might be going into a slow time like the Naruto mangas where they had to write useless filler episodes..

I saw this series accidentally when I was looking for another anime in veoh.com.. The series led to me reading the manga, which I sometimes regret doing because the updates are so bloody slow that its so annoying... lol..
I know I know it only comes out once a month but come on.. make us suffer much?
and it doesn't help that the story is so slow in developing :(...
so far...
(spoiler for none readers.. :} )

Zero's is being offered a high position in the Hunter's association and Yuki and Kaname still haven't gone past the whole "senpai" thing...

I'm a Yuki X Kaname supporter all the way but the way the direction of the story is going it seems like its going to be Zero X Yuki in the end... :(

no say it isn't so!!

Kuroshitsuji- anime

Honestly when i started watching the anime, and that was right after reading the manga, i was disappointed. They changed the story and the ending was like WTF??? but if you just think of the anime independent of the manga then its pretty good ;}...

It kind of grew on me as time went by.. but seriously though the ending just makes some yaoi & shounen-ai fans just scream, "nooooooo!!!!"

Kuroshitsuji(Toboso Yana)- quick summary

This wonderful piece of art mixed with a new story concept had me at hello.. lol :}
Its about an English noblemen, Ciel Phantomhive, who has a rather interesting butler. Interesting because of the circumstances leading to his employment. When Ciel was a little boy his family was murdered and he was sold as a slave. Having suffered countless beatings he was on the verge of death when he suddenly heard a disembodied voice in the shadows. It was a demon who promised him not only life but also a chance at revenge against all who have wronged him and his family. As usual demon/devil deals go at the completion of the contract Ciel was to give his soul to the demon. Ciel agreed and that is when he gained the butler demon, or as stated in the manga Black Butler, Sebastian. The whole story so far revolves around this love hate relationship between Ciel and Sebastian. but me and countless other fan girls hope for a more romantic , ;} , development of events. ugh so can't wait for the next chapter..
